What can ViewPortTM Vivarium do for you and your facility?

ViewPort Vivarium is a web-based solution that provides information in real-time. The system is updated immediately when someone enters information. Visibility is enhanced through multiple points of access including touchscreens, personal computers, or your wireless tablets. This drives accountability, coordination, accuracy, and increased productivity in your operation. User-friendly computer touchscreens can be placed in the corridors, suites, or animal rooms to provide on-the-spot access to key vivarium data. Users can view and take action on the information pertinent to their roles. This is accomplished by the built in filtering intelligence, which shows users only what is relevant to them, based on their role and where they are in the facility.
Tasks
Tasks are room-based, showing people what they need to do each day and recording when the task is performed. Tasks are set up using task templates that can be defined for different species or different room types. Changing a rabbit room to a mouse room? Simply switch the template and all tasks will change instantly.
Observations
Observations allow people to record important data about animal health, equipment conditions, or other data you need tracked to a specific room.
Partner Link
ViewPort Vivarium has the capability to link to other suppliers’
Web-based software and access the partners’ software at the touchscreen via a partner link. For example, if your facility has
Web-based animal health records software and would like to log in to see the animal health records in a particular room, you have the ability to do so at the touchscreen . Edstrom provides an integration kit to implement the Partner Link feature.
Reporting
Real-time feedback via your personal computer means no waiting to know the status of your facility. Feedback is provided in pre-configured reports on tasks, observations, and events.
ViewPort Vivarium meets 21CFR Part 11 compliance for electronic records.
Messaging and notification of critical conditions
• Overdue tasks can become alarms that are sent via email to notify
supervisors and managers. When a critical observation is logged, an
email notification is sent to the appropriate personnel. For instance, if
an observation of a sick animal is entered, a Veterinarian is
automatically notified.
• Electronic messaging allows people to compose, send and read
messages at the touchscreens . Messages can be sent to individuals
or groups of people.
• Broadcast messages are created by managers and contain general
information for everyone in the facility to view at the touchscreens .

whatever you need tracked to a specific room
• View broadcast messages that are displayed on the touchscreen like
a bulletin board
• View short videos (no audio), Microsoft PowerPoint presentations,
Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents
• Read your messages or send a message to an individual or group of
people
• See environmental conditions from Watchdog V5.20
• Gain access to other Web-based software through Partner Link
