The Data Logger™ makes it easy and affordable to record temperature, humidity, and light in animal rooms, cages, or refrigerators. This portable, battery-operated device automatically collects environmental data with regularly scheduled logging intervals.


The Data Logger’s simple-to-operate software is designed to set up, manage, and control an individual Data Logger or an entire fleet. The software displays all collected data as well as current device status. Downloading data points is effortless, and you can review the information in report or graph format. The flexible logging interval can range from once per minute to once every two days.

The Data Logger software walks users through new session setup addressing such factors as logging interval, room to deploy Data Logger in, and the date and time you want to start collecting data. When starting a logging session, a detailed description can be assigned making it easy to identify the purpose of the session. The software will record the serial number and location of the Data Logger, keeping track of what room each device is in. Based on the parameters selected, the software will remind the user when it’s time to collect each unit.

Our special wire bar lid accessory makes it possible to monitor populated cages while protecting the Data Logger from the animals within. Monitor temperature and humidity inside the microenvironment – seeing how these parameters change over time will help you determine how often a ventilated cage should be changed. You can also compare your findings to ambient room readings.
