Tasks – The Virtual Clipboard
ViewPort replaces the duty log often attached to each animal room door. Tasks are room-based, showing people what they need to do each day and recording when the task is performed and by who. Once the task is complete, the technician simply checks it off in ViewPort. Tasks are set up using task templates that can be defined for different species or room types.

Observations – The Virtual Notepad
Observations allow people to record important data about animal health, equipment conditions, or other details you need tracked to a specific room. Observations can even become alarms. Some observations are critical . . . such as animal health problems or broken equipment. When a critical observation is logged, ViewPort will send e-mail messages to appropriate personnel.

Messaging – The Virtual Bulletin Board
ViewPort’s unique electronic messaging feature enables staff to compose, send and read messages at the touchscreens. Messages can be sent to individuals or groups. Managers can even create broadcast messages containing general information for everyone in the facility to view. ViewPort also notifies supervisors and managers of critical conditions, such as an overdue task or a sick animal.
