The Edstrom Standard
Edstrom continues to stride forward, garnering statewide awards including the prestigious Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award for 2011 – in addition, obtaining our certification to ISO 9001, various health and safety programs, and for taking green initiatives to new levels with several successful in-house campaigns. We’ve also been an active participant in our community, devoting time and talent to several local organizations.
In February 2012, Edstrom was awarded the coveted Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Prize for manufacturers in the medium (100-299 employees) category amid a field of 52 nominees.
Edstrom is also one of only eleven companies in the entire state of Wisconsin to receive the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award from OSHA. The award honors companies that operate superb safety and health management systems, and who maintain an injury and illness rate below the national average for their industry.
Hand in hand with the ongoing commitment to manufacturing excellence, Edstrom believes that fostering a "Green" disposition minimizes our carbon footprint. Our electronics recycling program has netted 1,600 pounds (726Kg) of recyclables, and our lighting conversion program saved over $62,000 in energy costs since its inception in 2008. Other programs currently in place address chemical and water recovery and discharge, transportation and logistics, and in-plant energy usage. Because we manufacture all of our products in-house, Edstrom is uniquely capable of controlling our green initiatives as well as our product quality.
And finally, our ISO certification is the end result of Edstrom managements’ commitment to make our customer the focus of everything we do. Our adoption of ISO 9000 standards assures customers in the pharmaceutical, academic, government and biotech fields worldwide that comprehensive quality systems are in place within our organization.
